One Piece is the story of Captain Monkey D. Luffy and his merry band of pirates' escapades into the Grand Line in search of the a legendary treasure, the One Piece! This is one of the longest running animated shows ever - its first episide debuted in October 1999! The creator says he is planning on ending the show in the next four to five years, which will put it at over 25 years running.
